Is your dream worth the effort?
One of the
most important aspects of this exercise is realizing that every area you
want to improve depends upon how you perceive yourself. I believe
that a lack of self-worth is part of every behavioral problem we
experience. Everything in your life has a connection to your self-worth,
and it is imperative for you to write to yourself about your self-value on
a daily basis. Relive moments in your life when you felt confident, and
remind yourself of it constantly. Success creates success! Notice how your confidence grows stronger every day.
Self-confidence, like happiness and wealth, is an inside job and is developed through self-discovery.
Your
daily thoughts need to reflect this new optimism and
positive energy as much as possible. This requires discipline but will get
easier over time. All that is required is that you replace any negative
thought with a positive one. Your soul needs to hear it from you! Write
honestly and with purpose, and listen carefully to what you are saying and
how it makes you feel. This will drive the message home with greater speed
and success. Who you are is
the result of years of conditioning, and it will take time to align with
your truth. Setbacks and challenges are a completely natural part of the
process. Be patient with yourself. You gain power every time you do
this.
How is this technique different from more traditional approaches to
positive thinking? With this exercise your approach always comes from the
positive without struggling against the negative. I cannot emphasize this
point enough. Concentrate on the positive, and emphasize what you want
to attract.
Any thought, negative or positive, you hold onto long enough will manifest. With
this exercise you are in full control of your words and can direct the
power of your intention to change your core beliefs. You are no longer
just delivering a “want” list but are focusing on what you already
have with considerable gratitude. You must be
happy with what you have before you can be happy with what you want. Instead of coming from a place of need,
you are coming from a place of abundance with a firm intention for
personal growth.
By accepting what is, there is no limit to what you can accomplish.
After doing this exercise for awhile you may notice that you no longer
ask for things, but rather thank for what you already have. When that
happens then you are attracting your good the most powerful way.
Keep your dream alive and vibrant. Believe it in your heart and it has to
manifest. Good things are already on their way.
